Live In the Grace

Livin' in the Grace.  Are you livin' in the grace of God that only He can give?   If you're not or you are not sure, take just a moment to talk to the Judeo Christian God.  The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the father of Jesus, the only way to God.   The Bible says in Romans 10 :13 "Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."  You may be asking "From what do I need to be saved?"   That is a good question.  In my life, I've often needed saving from myself and my own way of doing things.  I've made some pretty poor decisions in my life.  On the other hand, I've made some pretty good ones.  Most of the good decisions came after deciding that I needed Jesus to be Lord of my life.  Life wasn't immediately easier after making that decision, but once I learned how to trust and cast my cares upon Him it got easier.  I learned that I don't have to carry the weight of the world anymore because Jesus already did it at the Cross.  What does that mean?  It means that if you let him, He will help get you through whatever you are facing because He loves you.  You are so loved by God that He gave his son Jesus to be the sacrifice once and for all.  All that we have to do is believe and receive.  I know that you are feeling the Lord speak to you saying "I love you, come home" otherwise you would not still be reading this.  You are so LOVED.  You were uniquely created for a specific purpose and gifted with the ability to carry out that purpose.  Get connected to the one who created you and gifted you, to learn how to fulfill your hopes and dreams.  Dig deep inside and discover that there is so much more to life than just living.  Connect with Jesus and LIVE IN THE GRACE!

That was NOT easy.

Man, I feel for David in this 31st Psalm.   He was having a rough time.  It seemed like everyone was against him...well in verse 13 it says:  "For I hear the whispering of many terrors on every side! - as they scheme together against me, as they plot to take my life"

I think we've all felt like that many times in our lives and
wondered "Where is God?"  David knew...  God was with him.
v. 14 But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, "You are my God." 19  Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you
and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind!20  In the cover of your presence you hide them from the plots of men; you store them in your shelter from the strife of tongues.

David was hidden in God.  Things were happening to him in the natural realm but he was protected in the spirit and that protection overflowed into the natural realm.

So even when, no especially, when things look putrid, bless the Lord, for He loves you and wants only the best for you.  Don't curse the one who wants to deliver you, bless Him and thank Him by faith.  You'll see your circumstances change.

24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!

What's In Your Wallet?

What's in your wallet?
Are you carrying the burdens of living this life in this depressed economy. Trying to provide for your family; keeping up with mortgage, groceries, utilities, car payments, and maintenance? Are you in a job (if you have one at all) you don't like, spending more time there than with your family? Well, exchange them for Jesus' burden.

Give your cares, worries, troubles, burdens to Him and you will find rest.

"What?" you ask. "It can't be that easy?"
But it is. It's that easy. Jesus came that we might have abundant life if we just believe HIM. Not just believe in Him but believe HIM and what He says is true.

We have to change our way of thinking and speaking. We have to begin to confess our desired outcome.  Say things like "I am blessed"  "I have more than enough to pay my bills and to be a blessing to others"  Speak the Word about your situation.  Oh yeah and give Him thanks and praise.  Show grace, mercy and forgiveness to your family, friends and co-workers.  Love is the motivator. Because He first loved us.

So, lay your burdens down and strap yourself to His yoke. When you do, you'll find that He bears most of the weight. He said his yoke was easy and his burden was light. Make the exchange..."What's in your wallet?"

What do I have to give?

Have you ever wondered what you have to offer God that He doesn't already have or can't create...well the answer is simply YOU. Your heart, your devotion, your soul, your love. He so loved, and BTW still loves, the world that He gave His only son Jesus, that whoever would believe in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. Jesus came that we might have an abundant life! Message me if you want to know more about Jesus, the one who loves you so much that he would die for you.

1st Rehearsal

Well, we finally got together last Wednesday!  It was a blast and a half!  Learned a tune that Tania introduced with her on keys, Analisa on the eukaleli (sp) and me on bass and everyone sang...we sound awesome together I can't wait 'till the next time we get together.

By the way, a couple of weeks ago I decided I needed a cajon so I did some research online and I decided to make my own out of an old wine box that I had.  Well...I finished it tonight!  It's not very pretty but it sounds pretty decent for my first one.  Now I just have to finish cutting out the sound hole, sand it and stain it and it'll be ready for show.  I'll post pictures later when it's ALL done.
